Stations We Monitor

Welcome To Our Station Panel Page

We love our radio stations as much as we love the country music that gets submitted to our chart. Radio stations are kind of like going to the fruits and vegetable section at a store. Sure for the most part everything in the section is a fruit or a vegetable, but some are older than others, some aren’t quite ripe yet or haven’t hit their best stage yet. Some are huge and some are tiny, some are super expensive and some not so much. What I am trying to say is that not all radio stations are the same just because they play the same stated format.

I prefer to think of AM/FM radio stations as advertising agency’s, they are there primarily to provide help to their local community. They relay the news, and local events, report the weather, broadcast school sports in many places, give the farm report, and you will hear about businesses that rely on the reach that radio has to help drive customers to their brick and mortar place of work. In my younger years I used to complain about commercials on radio stations, I thought that they were there solely for my entertainment. And I must not have been alone, because in my life I have seen the birth of Napster, iTunes, Windows Media, Spotify, Pandora, Napster, Sirius, XM, and later Sirius/XM. Plus in my life we saw the birth of the iPod, the Zune, and endless styles and designs of MP3 players, that would all be usurped by the Smart Phone.

Now in my middle age life, I am realizing that radio just hasn’t done a great job showing the public both sides of their business. The Music business helps to grow the AD business, and by playing the music people enjoy listening to, radio is able to capture their attention long enough to listen to the ads, the same ads that help put money back into your local community. This is done through taxes, and community betterment. So support your local radio station, and if you are abroad, almost every station has an online stream that you can listen too.
